Lakeland Regional Medical Center Pavilion for Women & Children

Lakeland Regional Medical Center Pavilion for Women & Children, Lakeland, Florida.  The project is an eight (8) story plus penthouse Women & Children’s Pavilion with 357,900 GBSF.  The project includes a 13,000 SF concourse over two floors that will connect the Pavilion to the existing hospital.  The project also includes a new auditorium, central energy plant, loading dock building and parking garage. The structure is a two-way post-tension concrete beam and flat slab supported by concrete columns and walls. The exterior is architectural precast concrete, curtain wall and metal panels. Cost of construction exceeds $255 million.

Celebration Hospital Patient Tower & Ancillary Addition

Celebration Hospital Patient Tower & Ancillary Addition, Celebration, Florida.  The project is a 151,375 SF. five-story patient tower and a 50,480 SF, four-story ancillary addition at Celebration Health Hospital.  The floor system is a two-way concrete beam and slab system supported by concrete columns.  The exterior walls are metal stud walls with an 18” high concrete curb along the base of the walls.  The foundation is concrete spread footings except along the existing building.  Micro piles or augercast piles and concrete pile caps are required at new columns along the existing building. Project includes special detailing for architectural features. Estimate current construction cost is $70 million.

Orlando Health Central/UF Cancer Center

Orlando Health Central/UF Cancer Center, Ocoee, Florida.  The project includes two-story 30,000 SF building with linear accelerator concrete vault. The structure is tilt-up concrete wall panels, structural steel frame with composite steel floor beams, steel joists and metal deck. The concrete vault has mass concrete foundations, walls and roof slab. The exterior wall is a combination of tilt-up wall, curtain wall and metal studs with insulated metal panels. Project requires special detailing for architectural features.

Florida Hospital Free Standing Emergency Departments

Florida Hospital Free Standing Emergency Departments, Florida. The projects are new free-standing ED with radiology and lab components.  The buildings are between 16,000 SF to 20,000 SF each.  The buildings are located in Lake Mary, North Pinellas, Waterford Lakes, Wesley Chapel, Carrollwood, Oviedo Lake Pickett and Orange City. The structure is tilt-up concrete walls, structural steel frame, steel joists and metal deck.

Grasslands MOB

Grasslands MOB, Lakeland, Florida. The project is a new two-story 60,000 SF medical office located at the Grasslands in South Lakeland. The structure is a structural steel frame, composite beams and deck at the 2nd floor and steel beam and deck at the roof.

FH Connerton LTAC

FH Connerton LTAC, Land O Lakes, Florida. The project is a two story 52 bed LTAC Expansion at Florida Hospital Connerton. The expansion is 50,000 SF. The structure is structural steel frame with HSS steel columns, steel beams, steel joists and metal roof deck. The foundations are concrete spread footings.

LRCC Chemo & Auditorium Expansion

LRCC Chemo & Auditorium Expansion, Lakeland, Florida. The project is renovations and expansion at the Lakeland Regional Cancer Center.  Phase I includes 9,314 SF chemotherapy addition, 10,516 SF auditorium addition, 1,589 SF café renovation and 9,481 SF pharmacy/lab/chemo rad renovation.  The total renovation and addition area is 30,943 SF.  The structural system will be structural steel framing, steel joists and light-gauge metal roof deck.  Foundations will be concrete spread footings.  The existing structure must be modified along the new building additions.

Lake Nona Dental Office

Lake Nona Dental Office (Nona Smiles), Lake Nona, Florida. The project is a new 9,000 sq. ft. single story building with modern design, special roof design and tower elements.

Celebration Hospital Patient Tower

Celebration Hospital Patient Tower, Celebration, Florida. The project is a 223,049 GBSF patient tower addition which includes five (5) occupied levels with a penthouse. The estimated construction cost is $55 million. The floor system is a two-way concrete beam and slab system supported by concrete columns and walls. The top of floor elevations for the new structure match the existing floor elevations. McElroy Engineering provided full Threshold Inspection Services and construction administration for the project.

Celebration Hospital Surgery Addition

Celebration Hospital Surgery Addition, Celebration, Florida. The project is a three-story, 35,000 SF addition with an estimated construction cost of $7.23 million for the building and $10.3 million for the total project cost. The project includes four (4) operating rooms – two (2) robotic O.R.s and two (2) will be fit for robotic O.R.s. Also, the second level was designed for an MRI unit. The floor system is a two-way concrete beam and slab system supported by concrete columns. The exterior walls will be infill metal stud walls.

Florida Hospital Orlando Center for Interventional Endoscopy

Florida Hospital Orlando Center for Interventional Endoscopy, Orlando, Florida. Structural design and drawings for an addition to the Ginsburg Tower at Florida Hospital Orlando to create the Center for Interventional Endoscopy. Coordination of new details with the existing structure at both the original Patient Tower and the Ginsburg Tower was required.

Health & Wellness Center

Health & Wellness Center, Florida. The project is a single story health and wellness center with approximately 15,000 SF. The structural system is steel joists and metal deck supported by tilt-up concrete bearing walls and interior steel columns. The foundation is a spread foundation and the floor will be a concrete slab on grade.

Florida Hospital Deland

Florida Hospital Deland – Endoscopy & Same Day Surgery Addition & Renovation, Deland, Florida. Structural design and drawings for an endoscopy and same day surgery addition and renovation. The new addition is approximately 2,800 SF above an existing structure and the renovated area is approximately 5,500 SF. The new structural steel framing required the evaluation and reinforcement of the existing structure for new building loads and other project requirements.

Maitland Veterinary Specialist Center

Maitland Veterinary Specialist Center, Maitland, Florida. The project includes a single story addition with approximately 2,238 SF and a new single story 4,278 SF building. The addition to the existing building includes a concrete vault for imaging-3. The structural system is steel joists and metal roof deck supported by precast insulated walls and steel columns. The foundation is a thickened monolithic concrete slab edge around the perimeter and concrete spread footings at the interior columns.

Central Florida Blood Bank

Central Florida Blood Bank Renovation, Lake County, Florida. The project included the structural evaluation of the existing floor system for new loading, structural design and drawings for a new ramp, openings in existing tilt-up clean room mezzanine, HVAC Mezzanine, service court wall and a structural review and reinforcement of the existing roof framing at new roof top units.
